Willie Revillame, You Douche

A good friend, @Gan, tweeted this video of a 6-year-old kid being humiliated by Willie Revillame in front of millions of people in his prime time show at TV5 (via a Filipina Mom Blogger).

This is just sad. What kind of entertainment is this to see a kid cry dancing moves he, obviously, does not like and enjoy. Willie's such an a-hole for laughing at the boy's father's job. Sure not everybody has a decent job, but you have to understand that these people are doing these things for a living and you can't just laugh at it! For all we know he idolizes his dad and sees nothing wrong with what he does and you come laughing with your stupid nasal forced laugh like you always plastic-ally do and make him realize his life sucks. What's worse is that he even manages to have the kid macho dance again, and again, and again.

His efforts to comfort, kiss, and applaud the kid are all worthless, insincere, and insensitive. The overall motive was to make fun of him and make entertainment out of other's misfortunes in life.

Watch how he exploits the kid, making him dance and cry over and over again. Again, let me reiterate that the kid, obviously, isn't enjoying. Yeah, it does seem that Jan-Jan seems to know how to grind like that and according to the interview, he learned from his aunt and father. Makes you wonder if the kid was taught for the sake of the performing on the show or is he being forced to do this off cam.

As Noemi of Filipina Mom Blogger cites:

Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act” Section 3 (b)

(b) “Child abuse” refers to the maltreatment, whether habitual or not, of the child which includes any of the following:

(1) Psychological and physical abuse, neglect, cruelty, sexual abuse and emotional maltreatment;

(2) Any act by deeds or words which debases, degrades or demeans the intrinsic worth and dignity of a child as a human being;

Fvckin douchebag. Same goes for Jan-Jan's aunt, and those who are cheering him up for continuously executing what he did to the kid. Insensitive pricks.

People would say 'oh but it's not Willie's fault that the kid knows how to dance like a stripper!' which I understand but as the head of the show who controls the overall flow of it all, don't you think you could have done better things than to make fun and exploit the kid? It was his call and responsibility as to how the outcome of it would be and he shouldn't have made fun and make the kid look pitiful. C'mon be sensible. Willie's there to help these poor guys and he manages to create entertainment out of them first then give them money to compromise.

Don't you guys consider this child abuse? Or is this, as you guys call it, just the usual primetime entertainment we need?

    A lot of people don’t get it, though. Which is sad. We’re now a bunch of clowns…as well as thieves, cheaters, and in general, heartless bastards. I mean, we’re the only nation with people that would do photo-ops with the bus that was held up during the hostage crisis…

    he definitely is, yeah? what he did is definitely uncalled for. he could’ve done way better things if he really intended to help.

    heartless and always going with the flow. it’s sick the way the people just laughed it all out… probably because willie’s laughing and when the ‘big man’ laughs they should laugh too… in hopes of receiving money that is. people who still can’t see what’s wrong should remove the fame and money factor to know what the fvck is wrong in this scenario.

    on another note… photos during d bus thing… lol i can remember a certain big guy who did a no show then ended up smiling and taking photos along that bus. so much for something to look up to.
