We all know how much a domain is. A typical .com available for registration would probably cost about USD7-10 or somewhere around PHP500 here. But read how Alan Dunn then says $10,000, more or less PHP500,000.00, domain is still cheap if you really aim to establish a solid presence online.
Alan goes on to distinguish the difference of investing a one time big time fee for a domain rather than resort to traditional media like billboards, print, radio, and tv.
If you spend $10,000 on a domain name your only future expenses are the $8 a year in registration fees - not even $8 a month … actually less than $1 a month.
Of course there are other expenses such as building a website and SEO but all of these expenses are costs which go directly to building value to something you own – not airtime or billboard space you are leasing!
