How Dirty is Your Keyboard?
I use a Logitech MX3200 – Wireless Keyboard and Mouse. It’s been with me since 2008 I guess considering the warranty sticker says 2008, and not once did I bother cleaning it up.
I’ve been letting my brother’s use my PC for some MMORPG love and he’s a nasty one in terms of dandruff. One time I left him there and the next thing I know, it’s like it snowed on my keyboard! What I did was tap the keyboard and a lot of other stuff fell out! I then decided to take the screws out and made a more indepth cleaning to see what’s in there.
Dirty, right? I’ve done a bit of search as well and turns out some researches say that the keyboard is likely to be more filthy than one’s toilet. Some were even found to be five times (5x!) worse than toilets, some of which were even found with traces of coliform – bacteria found in your poop. We are in contact with most of everything via our hands and we easily transmit all the bacteria with all the pushing we’ve done.
