After months of planning and advertising, Mo Twister finally launches the first ever episode of his podcast yesterday, January 11, 2011.
The podcast is basically a sex/advice type of show wherein Mo takes on callers concerns about sex and he gives out his opinion on such matters. For more complex medical concerns, Mo managed to pull in Dr. Gan Montenegro to answer those questions. And to add more spice to the show, guest hosts should be enough especially when they're of celebrity status, such as the once-controversial Dr. Hayden Kho for the first episode and Ruffa Gutierrez for the second. Oh and there's no censorship on words. Say "Fuck," "Shit," "Putang Ina," or whatever fancied curse word and there's no problem.
I'm just astounded by the fact that Mo Twister pulled this one off, giving some innovation into our entertainment industry. We freakin need this kind of minds that would get out of the stereotypical drama love-team noontime crying with matching fantasy magic stunt that goes on and on TV. This is real entertainment and I couldn't have expected anything less.
I wasn't able to listen to the start of the podcast though I was able to catch up around 11PM, because luckily, the podcast went from 10:30PM until 12:30 though the duration may vary from time to time depending on availability.
It's funny because I really did not know how to listen to the podcast. All I know form the beginning was the Skype ID which was goodtimeswithmopodcast. So I initially called via Skype up hoping I could ask how it would go and then a girl in bikini answers! This kind of caught me by surprise because I was in the living room of my girlfriend's house with her parents just a few feet away from me with my laptop making a girl voice saying "Hello?".
What's worse is that my girlfriend was intrigued of what I'm doing, peeked at my screen, and saw a girl in bikini and thought I was viewing a live show... in their living room... with her parents in the area. GG. My girl laughed it over upon knowing anyway and thanks to twitter, I realized that after ages, Mo's blog has been updated with more info regarding the podcast. Turns out there's a Ustream Channel for the podcast and the Skype was actually for calls for the show though the main method to contact the show is via phone.
I listened throughout the show and it's surprising to know that once you get in and become a featured caller, you instantly win a prize. At the end of the show, a major prize is being given to who's considered the episode's favorite caller - first episode gave away a Lenovo Laptop. This is practically the winning factor as to why Mo's ventures become an instant booming success - free stuff. Awesome.
I really like Mo Twister. Aside from being just 2" taller than me which I can relate to (LMAO), I think he's down-right frank and very broad in terms of thoughts and that's what I find cool about him. I already lost my blog entry regarding how I praise the guy due to database failure from my previous setup. But I was lucky enough to meet him during Toblerone's Thank You Day back in 2009 along with Pia and Maxene Magalona where those fellas are as friendly as you'd think they could be. Thank You Day indeed!
Anyway you can listen to the GTWM Podcast every night, or at least when he says so, via the GTWM Podcast UStream Channel. You can call up Skype to see the Bikini Girl with ID GoodTimesWithMoPodcast (freakin long). Or you can call up the show at 659-6969.
Here's the audio file of the first episode of GTWM, the Podcast (soon to be available for download via iTunes, free):
