Finally Letting Domains Expire

If there's one thing you should learn as a domain investor, it's how to let go of domains which aren't doing you any good.

My main objective in the game is to gain the most profit out of the investments I've put in. To do this, I should learn to drop some.

Like most domain investors, I went crazy in buying domains. I learned how the game works and instantly went into the market, buying around without really knowing how to do much of the filtering to find the good domains to flip out. Now I can honestly admit that I've got a portfolio with at least 50% trash.

As much as I'd like to think these domains are probably worth something to someone out there, it's highly unlikely that they just sit there and wait for ages and cost me ageless renewals. I need to monetize and push the liquidity of my domains.

I'm proud to say though that so far, I've only sold a handful of domains but they've covered more than 60% of my initial investment. Most of these are just hand registered ones. The great thing about this is that my renewals aren't all set in one day so there's no rush. Who knows, I may sell another domain tomorrow and be at an overall profit of 100% on my portfolio. It's bound to happen if I continuously learn and play my cards right.

Anyway, I'll be dropping some of what I consider trash domains, most of which are brandables which kind of make no sense but sounded great when I was registering like crazy just like SodaRecipe.com.

Now I'm looking more into the metrics. The value of a domain just by not sounding good, but in terms of age, keywords, search quantity, and such kind of factors because all but one of the domains I've sold so far have those kind of characteristics involved (the other one being a brandable).

It's a nice feeling to let these drop. It just means I'm finally knowing how to let go of what most domain investors would call pigeon sh*t - domains that are basically just trash.

From here on, it'll be a continuous renewal and buy and sell phase where I shall continue on buying and holding onto good domains with potential, let go of trash domains, and selling more domains at a very good ROI.
