DPWH Photoshop Fail

DPWH tries to pull a quick edit to put the people concerned at such a dramatic pose.

Well this photo got its way around. Notice anything funky?

Controlled Chaos covered an article recently upon catching DPWH's sneaky and pathetic effort to impress the public. How? Via Photoshop of course. He was quick enough to save up some images before the page pulled out the posts.

Simply click the image:

And hey, the photo caption was:

DPWH INSPECTS COLLAPSED SEAWALL AT ROXAS BOULEVARD. DPWH Undersecretary Romeo S. Momo with NCR Director Reynaldo G. Tagudando and South Manila District Engineer Mikunug D. Macud inspect the extent of damaged seawall in Baywalk along Roxas Boulevard caused by Typhoon Pedring.

You should instantly notice how that guy at the far left's already got that 'fail adobe paste' effect by the outline of his head, yeah?

For ease, Quiapo has already pointed out much of the flaws evident in this photo:

Just can't stop doing /facepalm on these guys.

DPWH eventually had the solid idea to remove the post after it was attacked for its Photoshop Fail, thus giving a reply:

We apologize for the photo release... it was not cleared yet before the staff posted it. It was already replaced. Beth Pilorin, Chief, PID - view image

Keyword 'it was not cleared yet' LOL. So they do photoshop stuff there for the public.

Is it the right moment to say that the quality of this Photoshop attempt is kind of reflective of the quality of our roads? Heh.

UPDATE: Upon further browsing I encountered Jim Ayson's blog making more fun of this. More photo renditions over there including the likes of Obama, Shancey, Master Chef, etc.

UPDATE: Washington Post caught on and featured this: "Philippines officials Photoshop themselves into typhoon cleanup photo"
