24-Hour View of the Sky

After several days of preparation, and about 30hours of diligence in a stationary position, here is what Chris Kotsiopoulos finally came up with - a photograph of a full day looks like.

I believe the technique is similar to the kind of like the way you do it with timelapse photography, only you obligate yourself to rotate the camera without ruining the angle and position of it all. There are automated tripods for that, yeah? Oh and not to mention the adjustments made to cope up with the proper exposure.

This takes mighty precision and a lot of patience.

Wonderful.
