Would You Write About It? Or Show It Instead? |
Blogging has been quite a hype for some time now and it does make you wonder if you could still ride the waves while it STILL is 'waving'. You've heard a lot about how blogging has become such a good way to produce quality content and traffic from channeling your thoughts into writing. For many years now, a lot of people have managed to prove that one can actually make a living out of writing blogs. It has been one of those "work from home" type of careers that seemed too attractive that many peoples all over the globe tried to get into, though not all of them managed to be successful enough to pull it off. Why? Probably a not so good talent in writing... or maybe you guys are better off vocalizing thoughts instead of writing them down? You see, not everybody can do everything. And if some people can write, it doesn't necessarily mean you can too. So try to find another channel and make use of that. Ever tried making a podcast? If you can't seem to be good in writing, try speaking your mind through your mouth or actions. You don't have to be seen to make a podcast as it can either be audio or video. Although I must admit that unless you can actually continuously speak and create good topics like any good radio DJ should, then go ahead make an audio podcast. Videocasts on the other hand would become a better choice over audiocasts. A very significant and undeniable proof of that is YouTube.com. A lot of these YouTube uploaders even manage to get tens, hundreds, and thousands of subscribers awaiting for their next video upload. Just goes to show how a lot of us patronize the visual presentation that one has to offer. People tend to get attracted more to those moving pictures, accompanied by sounds, that could very well explain what they want to know about. After all, given the choice, would you rather read, hear, or watch DIYs, tutorials, dances, evident videos, proofs, and a whole lot more? Do you think you could ever get a clearer picture of how your dog can dream and have nightmares other than watching your actual footage? A lot of video streaming websites have been popping up lately, evident of the demand for this kind of media material. Wordpress even managed to launch Videopress which enables its bloggers to upload and attach videos in high quality for their blogs. I, myself, am fond of finding vids on the net. One of the couple of sites I enjoy the most are the Onion News Network and College Humor - both sites frequently uploading and displaying videos that simply tickle the curiousity and humurous side of all things you barely even thought of. People can patronize even the stupidest and silliest of videos you can ever come up with so why not give it a try? Maybe it's about time to try and test the waters. If you aren't that confident, you could always sign up for a free youtube account and try how people would react towards your streams. If all goes well, then take the next step. |
