So What's Up with the Monotonous Chiz Escudero

Chiz Escudero. One of the Presidentiables out there... so what about him?

I dunno what the fuzz is all about with this guy. I can never seem to get why people like him that much. All I could ever see is a Bamboo look-a-like (Bamboo is Filipino Artist in the Music Scene here in the Philippines).

Bamboo's comeback in the Music Industry has definitely made a mark in a step for OPM (Original Pinoy Music) elevation. The man's kind of weird in a sense that I hear he draws eyes as autographs but meh, its his music. Well anyway, Bamboo is what I think to be the very boost of Chiz Escudero's reputation. Bamboo made him popular... well more popular since he was already a Senator (? or was he a part of the Congress?) that time.

All I know is that he's from a politically inclined family. That's it. And I don't know who his family is, just that his family and the name "Escudero" is in the field of politics.

But ok, maybe he's made his own unique identity out there. When people say Chiz Escudero, what things come up in your head? For me, there's two (2) things. One is Bamboo. Two is Balagtas. LOL

The guy talks in pure deep Tagalog. Never actually heard him speak English. Never. That's nationalism in a sense for ya. But yeah, Francisco Balagtas is way way better as a speaker since he speaks and throws his poetic gestures with feelings. Chiz on the other hand sounds like a beep-beep-bereep-beep monotonous robot. Listen to him talk continuously and in less than a minute you'll have no other thoughts but the wish that he'd stop soon. It's like this - imagine you talking a full breath in and making the most out of that one breathing to tell all the things u have to say. And act like you're reading an idiot board while you're at it. That's how he speaks.

...Try playing that for like 10x even the 1st 10 seconds. ZZZzzzzz....

So now he's got his ad placed on the BoobTube. I don't really get it. He's talking about never letting calamities ruin the nation ever again. He releases words when translated states "I'll never let this happen again". Damn he must be God to stop the calamities from coming. Then he continues on to say something like "Ipakita natin ang tapang ng Pinoy" (Let's show the bravery of the Filipino)... oh my where have you been. You are talking about the calamities that just passed by and you're saying let's show our bravery. Have you not witnessed the scenes back when Ondoy (Ketsana) and the rest of the storms came, how the Filipinos DID face those calamities head on? Everybody, even those who were struck badly risked their lives to help out each other and not let other people needing help just come by unnoticed. If you don't call that bravery... I don't know what to call you.

The way Escudero calls out for Filipino bravery in his ad simply ticks me off. Guess he wasn't reading how a a few celebrities swam the floods to save civilians, how a judge used his jetski to save a hundred of his neighbors, how a swimmer swam the waves to save nearby people and end up dying due to fatigue. Damn it... What a stupid ad.

Well anyway, I don't want to fondle more about the stupidity of it all.

Just think about it, what has Escudero done that you've heard of? Did you know he was part of the Congress just before he became Senator? So what has he done in the Congress? Any bills at all? What has he done in the Senate? ... aside from pointing out Government flaws? Meh... Can't think of anything, really.

Most of the politicians out there really don't have a say and a good record to flaunt. Just their names that's been heard of ever since the dawn of Political Time.

Going for the Presidency at the age of 40 (minimum age in our Constitution) isn't bad at all. I don't think there has been a presidentiable that young. And that's the very edge of this guy in my opinion. That's ALL there is to it.

Cavorting with cliches.

And drowning in motherhood statements (Do not kill your parents because that is bad. . . !).
