Thumbs Up Thumbnail Joomla Extension Error

So suddenly my thumbnails for the latest news aren't showing at all and it sucks. I had to figure this out.

This concerns the module ThumbsUp Latest News for Joomla CMS by Atanas Tchobanov. Being the programmer, designer, and overall handler of this site (apart from others), I found it a bit difficult to troubleshoot this out of being forgetful of what I last did. Nevertheless, I found the fix.

If your concerned about thumbnails not showing properly, then you'd have to double check file permissions for your images and modules folder. Make sure they're 755 as they are 755 on mine and it worked. Otherwise, try playing with 777 permissions.

With regard to "The path to the document root folder," I did not change anything and left it blank. I assume the script automatically adapts itself to respective folder settings.

That worked for quite a while until a few days ago when i noticed that newly uploaded images aren't showing properly.

Cutting it down to the point, it was a cache error and the cache folder became unwriteable. I don't know how, but it did. Probably some host settings or whatever. Anyway, I change folder permissions of that specific cache folder to 777. Hope this clears up your problem as well :)
