So Why Have Our Cars Not Evolved Through the Floods?

Cars have been cars ever since. And by that, I mean they travel the solid, dry road.

Amphibian Car by AquadaIt's in cases like this where I think that we should already have learned that when it rains just a bit here in the Philippines, it floods like there's no tomorrow. What more when it storms and the rain keeps on going on and on and on.

So why haven't car manufacturers managed to make a new evolution of cars? Make the cars somehow waterproof? Install an engine that can be submerged underwater. Make the interior impenetrable to water. Just make it run on water!

If you guys can't grasp the idea of a car boat, just imagine - Spongebob's motorboat during his fail driving exams. Yeah. But not actually shaped like a boat. Damn that's stupid looking.

I was thinking how us Filipinos would greatly benefit over such an invention like a car boat. Even if we don't purposely or greatly consider the car being able of submerging under water like a good ol sub, even though that would be great. Maybe we could just make it capable of floating over water and let the tires roll and provide some push power over water. Can you imagine?

I just don't get it we've been experiencing the same problem of floods and having our cars suffer in this, but there seems to be no proposal or solution to this at all. Is there no market? I think there is... right?

Well I can only imagine so don't flame on me calling me a tard that "no it can't be coz you'd have to borrow one from three" or "that's not possible!" type of shit. It's a concept for crying out loud. Back then people didn't even realize the possibility of exchanging a motor for a horse. Lol. Just make a car capable of surviving floods! Car Evolution Please.

Anyway, I've heard of a van that successfully sailed over the sea somehow though I've forgotten the details and I can't find it online. Top Gear did manage to try it out with a Car-Boat Challenge. Lol

Other than that, there seems to be an existent company that's evolving cars. The Gibbs Aquada makes what looks like a good roadster but within a press of a few buttons here and there, you're good to go on water with your wheels flat under the body of the car, which you can now boat away.

...and oh yeah, here. Friends posting something they found via networking/social sites. What Ondoy storm of the Philippines has been causing lately.
