Real Life Farming by Gamers

So much of the market are still kids at heart. Many of which still tend to play games. Considering how gaming has evolved now, not only does it serve as mere entertainment, but a place to get income from as well.

Farming is a term given to the method by which a player focuses on increasing ingame currency for the benefit of the game character or account. It looks like gamers are now farming real Cash out of their games. They make money by either selling ingame goods and currency or selling the account itself.

You'd be surprised to know how much these ingame goods and gaming accounts can go out on the market. I have my own set of friends who play online end when they get tired of pumping up their characters, they sell it and move to a new game. Most of them were able to sell accounts starting at $200 at can easily pass the $1000 mark if your characters are considered one of the elites.

The same goes with ingame goods. Ingame Currency is being sold by many providers at bulk prices. And if you are around the World of Warcraft market, for example, you should be aware that rare items, which can be acquired through buying collectible cards, are pricey. One such "loot card" even runs through the market at a minimum of $600 and can reach up until $2000.

As far as I know, trading is done normally via meetup to ensure the thought of not getting ripped off in the end. There are those sites that offer to serve as the middleman between buyers and sellers of accounts. You'd have to do some background check first though if you plan to do this kind of thing. Otherwise, you'd end up losing all the things you thought you could earn.

This method of selling gaming accounts and ingame goods, however, is more often than not prohibited by their respective game companies. Some of these companies are so dedicated on fighting this blackmarket. Blizzard, for example, made a few legal actions towards Ebay allowing such auctioning of game goods in their premise. In the end, Ebay started moderating posts containing certain keywords that would normally entail the buying and selling of said game goods.

That being said, let me just give you guys a little precaution on the possible outcome of your actions. Make sure to read up Terms and Conditions of your respective games so you don't end up in the wrong end. But if you're persistent in going through this type of blackmarket, then just do yourself the favor by 1) Don't Get Caught and 2) Make an Awesome Sale in Exchange of that Risk!
