Rising Up With the Force Again |
I've been bored lately so what else can I do but find a free MMORPG - Rising Force Online aka RF Online. Now talking about MMORPG, I'd have to say that I have full on dedication with the World of Warcraft - I honestly thing it's the best damn MMORPG out there. But due to the fact that I've stopped playing due to studies, it's inevitable that within a few months of not playing, I'm already way behind the stats which is why I'm waiting for Cataclysm so I could start again with a few other players. But for now, I'm gonna settle with Rising Force Online.
When I left the game, I had a lvl 50 Punisher. Now, that character's gone with all the money (almost 1Billion CP) and items with it. The reason is simply because LevelUp! Games PH (host/server of RFPH) decided to merge servers and any character not played within a certain span of time are to be erased unless logged. Unfortunately, I was unable to get any notice of this and now have my pro toon in oblivion. I am back to zero. One good thing that's present right now though, is the support of the RFPH Administration by providing level 1 weapons with the power of level 45 intense weapons. This makes leveling from 1-30 a breeze that you could do it in an hour or two. Also available is the presence of premium service. This enhances the leveling of your experience points, skills and abilities by about 9x as well as a supply of level-apporpriate equipment. A bad side of this though is the way many of the useful items that can be used ingame are only found in the premium shop, which is kind of a subtle move to make players buy more prepaid game cards. But hey, it's their game and that's how they profit so I don't really have a thing with that. Besides, if you don't like that, you can just play the game for free. Well anyway, from where I left, the game has not really progressed much. I understand an addition of a couple of maps but with regard to the overall experience, it hasn't really changed. If you know how to play it before, you'll probably get a hang of playing it again within a couple of days and probably reach max level less than a week if you really wanted to. It is still enjoyable though thanks to the continuous PK system of the game accompanied by the chip wars. But aside from those, the game is pretty boring, really. It does not provide the game and strategical complexity that the World of Warcraft can provide nor does it have the experience that the quests of WOW could serve. There really isn't that sense of progression aside from the numerical figure that is your level accompanied by power, strength and look of your character. Nevertheless, the game is pretty decent and amusing enough to pass time. Besides, the Accretia class look like Gundam Robots which I was once fond of. Newer news items:
