My Logitech Wireless Keyboard Problem |
The whole afternoon I was so problematic of my keyboard. I didn't know how life would continue on without my beloved keyboard!Overall here's pretty much the summary of it all if yoyu don't want to read it all. Problem: Wireless Keyboard not Working. Receiver doesn't seem to light up to respond to its connect button. Solution: Software Installation and Update. Now the Story: I'm using a wireless keyboard and mouse with my PC Model MX 3200 under Logitech. Last night, as I was surfing, my keyboard suddenly stopped responding with what I was typing. So ok I noticed that the battery was low and decided to remove and put in the same batteries to somewhat reset the connection or system of the keyboard. Didn't work. Decided to sleep and maybe it'll work tomorrow by the time I restart my PC. Didn't want to wait then coz I was already sleepy. The morning came and I fired up my PC, on the login screen and TADA! No characters are typing on the password field. Zzzzz... My mouse was working fine though. I went on to get a wired keyboard and had it connected so that I could search for a solution. All I ever found were 'just go and reset the USB device'. I went on to ask a friend if he's encountered such a problem, and no he has not. So I tried cleaning every single key and realized how dirty my keyboard was. It was like I swept the floor that I haven't cleaned for two days after walking in and out of the house with the same pair of shoes. After it, nope. I even thought of unscrewing my keyboard to check for any problems despite the fact that I have no idea what I'll find and what those would mean. Green wire, red wire? LOL. I ended up not doing it. Had trouble finding a screw driver anyway. A weird thing I noticed though is that I can't seem to type anything at all but pressing the sleep button on the keyboard (upper right with a moon logo), the PC responds on that command. Now check your receiver. Does it blink when you reset it? How about your mouse? Whenever you click its 'connect' button does the receiver blink? How about your keyboard? Well, at first the receiver didn't react to my keyboard's connect button. Until I did the ff: It hit me that I never actually installed the software. I asked the same friend and he confirmed that he has the software installed. So yes, I tried to use the wired keyboard and install the software. After which, I ran an update. From here on, the keyboard's connect is making my receiver's light blink. One good thing I figured about the software is that it secures your keyboard so that no other device could catch the signal of your keyboard. So it somehow syncs and locks your keyboard to your device... which is very good. I continued on to update my software and I'm pretty happy to inform that software installation, software update, and keyboard ecnryption has saved my day :) Hope this works for you guys as well.
