Again with the 2010 Fortune-Tellers on TV

As any year ends, we find ourselves bombarded by so many fortune-telling programs or segments on TV wherein titled psychics of our generation come to say what they foresee. But how real are these going to be?

Again with the 2010 Fortune-Tellers on TV

I was at home surfing the other night when I heard over from the other room some segment carrying fortune-tellers and their predictions on how the new year will come for most of us. I can carry the idea since ideas like "there will be many people who will be challenged this coming year" is pretty general and yeah those kind of statements are nobrainers. But I want to focus on something else here. Their specific predictions.

This part where the tellers predict on specific personalities on how they will rise or fall is pretty direct, no? Saying a tale of soon-to-be success or hardship by simply looking at a picture is very bold and it made me wonder how true those tales could become.

So I was wondering, why don't TV programs/segments go back a year ago and try to recall what these (probably same) fortune tellers have told and go through the chronicles of the year? Did their "hula-hoops" actually materialize? Or are they just saying a bunch of hulabaloo like they are now for the year 2010?

AFAIK, nothing like this has been done. And frankly, I don't get it. It's like up until now no TV has bothered thinking of this.

People say, it wouldn't matter simply because the year's over, it wouldn't matter coz it's done, and we look forward to what the future brings. Well, think about it. If it turns out that those predictions for 2009 were just crappy words, what's the point in looking forward to those upcoming predictions for 2010 now?
