PLDT Connections Still Slow |
As of now, August 20 2009, connections provided by the Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company (PLDT) are still suffering aftershocks from the incident last week.
As far as I know, it has been reported that seabed movement around Taiwan is the culprit of the problem. Due to this natural event, undersea cables linking Asian nations were damaged thus causing the nuissance among our internet and telecommunication services.
Up until now connections are still slow, though not as hell of a slug like last week where I barely even made google searches properly. A click on the search button will take around 20seconds of processing before I end up either on the Page Cannot be Displayed or Search Results page.
I managed to call up the PLDT hotline and as of now, people are still advised to hold their patience as the recovery from the incident is still ongoing.
Hopefully, proper connection speed will be back up soon enough because I really am having a hard time trying to configure and setup some more web development online.
