Why I Currently Dislike the World of Warcraft |
Ever since MMORPGs ruled our world nothing can ever beat the experience that WOW had to offer the gamers out there. That's about to change.

Blizzard's World of Warcraft has always reigned the MMORPG scene due to the wonderful complexity and strategical experience that it can offer. Overall, it has that certain balance of what to do and how to excel as compared with other games out there that are blatantly being infused with bots, premium items, and IMBA classes. The game, however, isn't really progressing as much... at least in my honest opinion.
I've played the game since BC (Burning Crusade) and went on to raid with the WOTLK expansions up til Colosseum raids. Sadly though, I believe the game has been making it too easy of an experience for newcomers in the field. By this, I'm referring to the way people can acquire high level items as good as the best in the game just by simply farming and playing low-level dungeons/instances (thanks to an emblem exchange program). This removes the challenge that most of us has to face. Many people try hard to achieve that honor of wearing high level equips that would distinguish experienced players to the noobs but that's gone now. Hence, the appearance of gear score importance.
Gear score is a rating of how high your current set of equipment is. The fact that people can easily acquire these high level equipments, they make this their standard to say they are pro in order to get accepted in higher runs. People are looking more at how geared you are rather than the skills you have in playing your toon. I see many noobs running around with high gear who instantly die or maybe perform so low because they were too dumb to know the proper rotation or use of skills. It's like buying and obtaining the best of hockey gear out there when in fact you barely know how to skate.
Jumping on the other side, there is an advantage to this. People with alts (alternate characters) can simply go and farm so they could pull in the guild raids as fast as possible. But hey, as easy as that could sound, I'm still saying the essence and prestigiousness of your main leet character is something to consider, yeah?
Another thing is the way everybody, as in EVERYBODY, is getting a hand on those highspeed mounts. Before, you had to accomplish perfect raids for that to happen or maybe spend 1 year fulfilling tasks. I don't know but everybody has one nowadays I don't know why, but one reason is that you can buy one. LOL. If everything's fast now, nothing is. Get it?
Well anyway, I'm killing time as well as saving me some money by not playing the game atm. I'm trying to find good MMORPGs that are free but worth my while. And guess what, some of these free MMORPGs can likely kill the World of Wacraft if Blizzard doesn't do anything.
