Affiliate Marketing must be considered as the most profitable type of program out there in the web.

The very basics of this is that you sign up under an affiliate program, promote the services or products under your chosen merchant/s, and you earn a commission when somebody buys through your link. That simple. This is also known as CPA/CPL (Cost Per Action/ Cost Per Lead).

As easy as it sounds, not many actually succeed and profit from this method. Then again, if you do succeed, you'd be hell well off.

Some build up their sites and blogs to host the links for their affiliate programs, though having a site/blog isn't really a necessity as some affiliates sell through other means.

Obtain that good webhost
Focus on a good niche that you're really into
Search the market and choose a product for your niche
Build up a lot of credibility by putting Up original quality content
Drive a LOT of traffic to your site
If possible, test the product you're trying to sell to give 1sthand feedback

It'll be a tough start for some and others say from the point of starting, it may take a couple of months to a year or some more to actually be successful in this field. It helps to have known connections through the net.
